Homework Policy
- If a student has an excused absence, he/she has as many days to make up work as the number of days absent.
- If the assignment has already been graded and returned, the student needs to discuss the missing assignment with the teacher.
- If a student has an unexcused absence, he/she will receive no credit for any assignment or test missed.
- If a student forgets to complete an assignment, leaves it in locker or at home, he/she will receive partial credit if student can demonstrate understanding of the subject matter.
- Long term projects will lose a letter grade for every day late. After 5 late days the student will not receive credit for the assignment.
Please note that students’ grades can not be lowered because of discipline issues. If a student misbehaves in class, you can do any of the following:
- Call home
- Assigned a detention (thirty minutes to one hour)
- Request a parent conference
- All of the above
