Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences CurriculumFirst Year 8.0 units for all English (1) Physics (1) Algebra (1) Computer Science (1) Ag Careers & Leadership I (1) Ag Science I (1) Art (1) Physical Education (1) Second Year 8.0 units for all English (1) World Studies (1) Geometry (1) Enviromental Science (1) Ag Careers & Leadership II (1) Music or Beginning Band (1) Physical Education (1) French or Spanish Third Year 8.0units for all English Literature (1) U.S. History (1) Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry (1) Language (Spanish or French) (1) Agribusiness I (1) Agricultural Career Pathway I (2) Biology (1) French or Spanish II (1) Fourth Year 8.0units for all World Literature (1)/AP English Literature (1) Law in American Society(1)/ AP U S Government (1)/ AP U S History (1) Spanish or French III (1) Chemistry (1)/ AP Chemistry (1) Agribusiness II (1) Agricultural Career Pathway II (2) PreCalculus/AP Calculus (1) HONORS courses are offered in all core curriculum courses for all four years. AP courses along with Illinois VIRTUAL High School courses are also offered. Note: Each student is also required to spend two summers on campus. One summer spent for two weeks for Freshmen Orientation (0.25 unit), and one summer after ninth grade for a SAEP (1/2 unit). SAEP is (Supervised Agricultural Experience Program). |
