Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences CurriculumFirst Year 7.0 units for all English I (1) Biology (1) Algebra (1) Ag Careers & Leadership I (1) Basic Ag Science (1) Art (1) Physical Education (1) Second Year 7.0 units for all English II (1) World Studies (1) Geometry (1) Biology (1) Intro to Ag Science (1) Music or Beginning Band (1) Physical Education (1) AP Human Geography (1) Third Year 7.0 units for all English III (1) U.S. History (1) / AP U. S. History (1) Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry (1) Agricultural Career Pathway I (2) Biology (1) French I or Spanish I (1) Fourth Year 7.0 units for all English IV (1) / AP English Literature & Composition (1) Contemporary American History(1) / AP U. S. Government (1) Spanish II or French II (1) Chemistry/Astronomy (1) Agricultural Career Pathway II (2) PreCalculus (1) / AP Calculus (1) HONORS courses are offered in all core curriculum courses for all four years. AP courses along with Illinois VIRTUAL High School courses are also offered. Note: Each student is also required to spend two summers on campus. One summer spent for two weeks for Freshmen Orientation (0.25 unit), and one summer after ninth grade for a SAEP (1/2 unit). SAEP is (Supervised Agricultural Experience Program). |
